How did you first hear of Tabla?
I first heard about Tabla years ago when they opened and through a lot of family friends who would cater from them for different family events.

Why do you love Tabla so?
I love Tabla because the staff truly believes in the work they do. The quality is visible in the service, the food, and the care they provide to their patrons. Whenever I go there I feel welcome and like I am part of a family.

My family has catered with them on two occasions – my sister-in law’s baby shower, and a wedding party in South Florida. On both occasions, Saajan sat with my family to come up with a unique and flavorful menu.

We were so impressed by the attention to detail and the overall willingness to ensure that our events went perfectly!

What are your favorite dishes here?
I have so many favorites there! They do all cuisines so well!

Their Paneer Tikka is probably the best I’ve had so far. The paneer is soft on the inside, but there’s still that charred outer layer that you’ve grown to love in anything that comes out of a tandoor! All of their curries are flavored amazingly.

My dad is not one to request to go to an Indian restaurant, unless it’s Tabla because he is so impressed by the flavor they’re able to pack in their food. My dad and I have been fans of the chocolate samosa since before the menu revamp! Now, I have fallen in love with the mango tiramisu…seriously – mind blown!

What do you think of the new renovations?
The renovations are simply beautiful! Tabla always had innovation in their food and the new renovations just add to the creativity and professionalism that was always there. I feel that the new changes complete the package.

Tell us some cool stories/ experiences you had with Tabla and staff?
I’m not sure if I have any cool stories because each interaction I’ve had with the staff has been a pleasant one.

They put so much attention to detail and treat their customers as family, that is cool!

I find it to be really cool to see them grow so much and so amazingly!

What is Gujarati food and how is it different from the other regional cuisine of India?
Gujarati food refers to food found in Gujarat, a state in western India. What makes it different from other cuisine found in India is that it’s highly influenced by Jain vegetarianism and traditional Hinduism.

A regular Gujarati meal would consist of rice, roti, dal, and shak (a mix of vegetables combined with several spices, it could be either sweet or spicy, depending on the family’s preference and the region of Gujarat).

What really makes Gujarati food unique is its ability to pack so many different flavors at once.

You’ll find different versions of staple food items all the time, so it’s difficult to eat the same thing once because every one has learned to cook it differently!
